Solid state G-Monster V5J hard drive
Although the conventional hard disk technology is being constantly improved there are still
many reports of disk breakdowns due to rise in capacity of disks. For this matter the new Solid
State drives will take place in the future since they are not overheating, do not cause noise and
are resistant to vibration and temperature changes. If you decide to buy computer system with
Solid State Drive, it will cost you around hundred or up to six hundred Euros more.
This should soon change, as company PhotoFast presented the first low-cost Solid State drives
based on the new JMicron controller JMF612. Storage G-Monster V5J with capacities up to 256 GB are
equipped with SATAII which provides fast operating time to the drive. According to the first tests
the new drive can download data at speeds of up to 240 megabytes per second and record with speed
up to 200 megabytes per second.
Available time has also been shorten to up to 30% in comparison to the competition. New Solid State
Disk is also very economical with electrical power as it only consumes maximum of five watts per hour.
The manufacturer guarantees that the drive will work perfectly for 2.5 million hours.
Storage G-Monster V5J device will be available for sale before the autumn.
